BANGLADESH DPDT IMPOSED 15% VAT OVER GOVERNMENT FEES

Under the direction of the Registrar, Department of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, Dhaka, the Office has imposed 15% VAT under local VAT Rules over all Government (Official) Fees for proceedings relating to the registration of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks in Bangladesh. This VAT collecting procedure is in effect from March 14, 2018.

From the said effective date, it is must to deposit 15% VAT with any kinds of Government (Official) Fees for Patents, Designs and Trade Marks matters in Bangladesh.
